Where should I sell my skin?
Pick your skin: we work out the net amount that lands in your account on each marketplace, after commission and withdrawal fees, then rank them from most to least profitable.
Calculator
With no price, we use the lowest price listed on each site. With your price, we apply each site's fees to that same amount.
Example with M4A1-S | Black Lotus (Field-Tested): DMarket $8.39 net, Skinport $3.47 net, CSFloat $3.16 net, Lis-Skins $2.33 net.
How the net amount is calculated
For each marketplace, the calculation follows three steps, always in the same order:
- The selling price. By default, we take the lowest price currently listed on the site: that is the price at which you have a real chance of selling quickly. If you enter your own price, we use it for every site.
- The seller commission. It is deducted from the selling price: 2% on CSFloat, 8% on Skinport (6% above €1,000), from 2 to 10% on DMarket depending on the item. When a site has a range, we take the worst case so as not to promise you too much.
- Withdrawal fees. They apply when you transfer the money to your bank account or card. When a site does not publish them, we say so instead of making up a number.
The result, "You get", is what actually reaches you. Sites are ranked from most to least profitable: that is the only ranking criterion.
Why you have to wait about 8 days
Since July 2025, Steam applies a trade protection to CS2 items: for 7 days, either of the two parties can reverse the trade. Marketplaces therefore only pay you once that period has passed, which means about 8 days in practice. Be wary of anyone promising an "instant" payment outside the official sites: it is often the start of a scam. We explain it in detail in the 7-day trade protection guide.
Identity verification (KYC)
Most sites that pay out real money ask for an ID document before the first withdrawal. It is an anti-money-laundering requirement, not a trap. Do it before selling so your money is not stuck when you want to withdraw.
The Steam Market, a special case
Selling on Steam's official market is safe, but the money stays in your Steam wallet: you cannot transfer it to your bank account. You receive about 87% of the price paid by the buyer (Steam and the game take 15% in total). It is handy for buying games, not for cashing out.
The limits of the estimate
A skin's price also depends on its exact float, its pattern and its stickers. A rare item can sell well above the lowest listed price, a heavily worn one below it. Use the "your own price" field if your skin has something special, and always check the final amount shown by the site before confirming your sale.
